Memories Of A Strange Sensation

The Lull Before The Storm

For weeks, she had been grappling with an unsettling sense of unease, as if an unseen presence lurked just beneath the surface. The uncertainty surrounding its origin only fueled her anxiety, making her yearn for a safe haven where she could retreat from the unknown. Her home, once a sanctuary, now felt like a fragile container, threatening to shatter at any moment.

As she delved deeper into the mystery of her feelings, she discovered that knowing their source only intensified her fear of losing control. But as time passed, the strange sensations gradually gave way to new emotions that brought a sense of calm and serenity. The warmth of these feelings was palpable, like a gentle breeze on a summer day, enveloping her in a sense of comfort and security.

All sense of time had become distorted, and once again, the strange sensation returned, bringing with it a sense of unease. Had she been discovered?

Despite her growing anxiety, a strange calmness settled over her, as if she were preparing for something inevitable.

No Hiding Place

Many weeks had passed since she first felt the strange sensation. Memories flooded back, each one filled with fear and the desperate need to hide. It was then that she realized her home was no longer a sanctuary, but a prison from which there was no escape.

As the memories returned, so did the uncertainty. What was happening? Why had these feelings resurfaced? The answer remained elusive, leaving only questions and a growing sense of dread. And then, without warning, the rumbling sound grew louder, drawing closer with each passing moment.

As she waited, her heart pounding in her chest, the sound grew louder and closer. It was like nothing she had ever heard before – a low rumble that seemed to shake the very foundations of her home.

The air was thick with anticipation, and she could feel her fear growing with each passing moment. She tried to focus on the sound, to pinpoint its source, but it remained elusive. Where was it coming from? What was happening?

Back To The Wall

And then, everything went silent. The rumbling stopped, and an eerie stillness fell over her home. It was as if time itself had come to a standstill. What had she done to suffer this kind of punishment?

She took a deep breath, her senses on high alert, waiting for something – anything – to happen next. But nothing did. The silence stretched out before her like an endless expanse of uncertainty.

As she stood there, frozen in fear, the memories flooded back: the strange sensation, the floating feeling, the sense of safety and security that had slowly been eroded away. And with those memories came a growing sense of despair.

She was trapped, lost, and alone, with no escape from the unknown terror that lurked outside her door.

And then, without warning, she was plunged into darkness, surrounded by an oppressive blackness that seemed to suffocate her. The air grew colder, heavier with the weight of uncertainty.

She tried to call out for help, but her voice was lost in the void. Her words were swallowed up by the silence, leaving only an echo of desperation.

The Becoming

Not wishing to harm, there was a sense of security content in the knowledge that they were one. But things changed. Keeping it close to herself, she had tried to hide it. Why she did not know. She now realized the other had sensed it too. The noises had been soft, filled with affection. It could not end like this.

There was an understanding, the strange feelings he had been sensing. She had every right to be afraid. Not his memories, they had been her memories. The strange sensations, the need to hide, feeling afraid – he was sensing her panic. He had not wished her harm. She was right; he had heard the noises also and knew they weren’t for him.

The year was 1964, the day was Wednesday, early morning. The coming attraction was a birth, not just any birth, but the birth of a unique baby. A baby who, in times to come, would have many regrets. These regrets, unknown to the infant, would grow with the child. But now, all that mattered was the birth—the infant’s arrival here on Earth.

In a heartbeat, before the first breath was taken, he remembered killing his sister-then it was gone. He had become stronger. Rightly or wrongly he had survived His birth.
